tak se mi jednou zjevil Duch sám
mezi panelákama
uprostřed léta
když Jižňák sálá
zůstal jsem tady úplně sám
úplně sám
jen rozpálený betony
a suchá tráva
šedivej žár
písek a prach
překročit práh
vrátit se zpátky
to co já hledám není
na konci dálnice co
teče z města ven jak
špinavá řeka
jako voda z kopců
do Milíčáku
a pak jen Kančík, Homolka a Vrah
a hostivařská přehradní nádrž
a pak Botičí dál dolů
Botičí až do oceánu
tak i já mířím dolů
abych se z hladiny moří
odpařil zpět
a pomalu se v ovzduší srážel
v jeden těžký bouřkový mrak
nechám se unášet zpátky nad Jižňák
odplul jsem jako kus dřeva
nepotřebná kleč
odplul jsem jako kus dřeva
vrátím se jako déšť
překročit práh, vrátit se zpátky
být chvíli zticha a nepospíchat
to abych snad nepropás tu chvíli
až mi panely začnou tiše zpívat
pojď k nám, pojď k nám ty jsi náš
Jiznak
And just like that the Spirit himself appeared to me, between the tower blocks, in the middle of summer when Jiznak burns with heat.
And I was there all alone. Just glowing concrete and dry grass, gray blaze, sand and dust.
To step over the threshold. To come back. What I’m looking for is not at the end of the highway that flows out of the city like a dirty river, like water from the Hills into the Milicak pond, into Kancik, Homolka and Vrah and the Hostivar water dam and through Botic further down, all the way down to the ocean.
And so do I travel down
in order to evaporate from the seas and condensate in the air into a heavy storm cloud. I will let myself be carried back above Jiznak.
I drifted away like a useless piece of wood. I will come back as rain.

To step over the threshold. To come back. Be silent for a while and not hurry, not to miss the moment when the blocks begin to sing:
Come, come, you’re one of us
Come, come, you’re one of us
